Director Sawhney is a local business owner and has a varied and extensive career in Human Resources, Program and Project Management and Organizational Change Management (OCM) expertise.  Director Sawhney has traveled the world for work and pleasure and is grateful to be elected and serve on the Board of Directors  for the Monterey Peninsula Airport District. 

Director Sawhney is also a member of the Monterey County Hospitality Association, Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, California Special Districts Association (CSDA) and is currently establishing a business in downtown Monterey.  She recently served as the Secretary and Board member for Seaside Rotary and is a previous Roteract and youth exchange host family.  For more than 20 years she has had the pleasure of hosting Rotary exchange daughters (now family) from Monterrey Mexico, Ecuador, New Zealand, Belgium, France and Sweden.  Director Sawhney and her husband Mitchel have lived in California for almost a decade and are grateful to have moved to Monterey County in 2016.
