Standing Committee Meetings

Board committees are purely advisory bodies. All decisions are made by the Board of Directors. Committees may be “standing” (i.e., of a permanent or long-term nature) or “ad hoc” (existing only temporarily until the accomplishment of their purpose). The Chair, with the ratification of the Board, determines which committee will be active at any given time. The Chair appoints directors to the membership of the committees as well as selects Directors to serve as liaisons or representatives of the District to certain groups, each subject to the ratification of the Board of Directors.

Agendas are prepared for meetings of standing committees, and the meetings are open and public.
