Annual Business License
The Monterey Peninsula Airport District Board of Directors adopted Ordinance No. 928, an Ordinance of the Monterey Peninsula Airport District Enacting and Approving a Business License and Registration Program, effective January 1, 2022, requiring a business license for businesses that operate within jurisdictional boundaries of the Monterey Regional Airport.
The Ordinance requires all businesses that are operating from the Airport property to register with the Airport. This will enable the Airport to develop a list of all businesses so that valuable information can be obtained, which may be used by emergency responder and building and safety personnel for the protection of the public health, safety and welfare of the Airport visitors, patrons and customers.
For all businesses operating at the Airport, the premises will be inspected each year by the Fire Marshall, operations personnel, facilities personnel, as well as the Airport’s engineer, to ensure that the premises are compliant with the various building and fire codes.
All Business License applications, including the required documents and the Annual Business License Fee, must be submitted Annually by December 31st of each year..
