The Planning Department is tasked in providing development oversight of airside and landside facilities for both airfield operations and all infrastructure on Airport owned property .
The Airport uses a 20-year planning horizon that provides the framework necessary to guide possible future airport development that will cost-effectively satisfy aviation demand, while considering potentital environmental and socioeconomic issues.
The goal of the targeted development, is to optimize capital assets in order to maintain quality service at reasonable costs, to remain competitive, environmentally sustainable, and economically self-sufficient.

*Each of the environmental studies is a separate project, not interrelated with the others, with its own independent utility that can be implemented independently of the others. Approving one project neither necessitates nor bars approval of another. Therefore, it is appropriate under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), that each project be analyzed separately.
